How businesses enter the directory
Businesses may be added editorially, imported from public sources, or submitted by owners. All submissions enter pending review. Imported data is not shown as owner-approved until verification is complete.
What “Verified” means
Verified means ownership or data has been confirmed—by business email, phone, website domain, or manual review. It does not mean we endorse the business.
How sponsored placement works
Featured and Sponsored are paid placements, clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial rankings. Paid status never masquerades as objective ranking.
How corrections are handled
Anyone can submit a correction. We review each one and update the listing. Owners of verified profiles can edit directly; non-owners go through review.
How recommendation lists are created
Recommended lists reflect editorial or algorithmic judgment based on published criteria. We do not allow paid status to influence them.
How reviews and ratings are sourced
Ratings are attributed to a named source (for example, Google). We never invent ratings or testimonials. When no reliable data exists, we hide the rating component rather than show zero stars.
How conflicts of interest are disclosed
Any sponsored relationship is disclosed on the page where it appears. Sponsored articles carry a disclosure notice.
